Meet the Pastors and Staff
There are few gentle giants in the world, and Senior Pastor Guy Kapeliela is on of them. Humble, humorous and real, he captivates people when he speaks. His love for God and compassion for the lost puts people at ease instantly. Married and the father of three fabulous children, many are amazed at what the Lord has done in his life. Born and raised in Kailua, Pastor Guy found himself looking for meaning in his life. He turned to drugs, alcohol and violence which nearly destroyed him. In 1986, Pastor Guy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Through God's grace, the bondage of substance abuse was broken and Pastor Guy's life was restored.

| A lifelong resident of the islands, Executive Pastor Ted Nakagawa was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He accepted Christ over 20 years ago and has been a faithful servant leader at Hope Chapel Olomana since its inception. Pastor Ted's passion to reach out to those in need in our community coupled with his trust and obedience in the Lord drove him to start the Road Ahead ministry. This team of faithful volunteers collects donations from businesses in the community and delivers food baskets and hot meals to more than 200 families in Waimanalo and Kailua each week. |

One of the most exciting areas of growth at Hope Chapel Olomana is our youth program, and credit for that goes to the spirit-filled obedience of Youth Pastors Al and Christy Paglinawan. This married couple came to Hope Chapel Olomana in 2001 and continue to find creative ways to engage kids of all ages in worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service. "Ohana Kidz" offers youth ages 4 to 12 a place to interact with other kids, develop lifelong friendships, worship and learn about God.

Service Producer and Facility Manager Pastor Lani Pei is one of the first people you will meet at Hope Chapel Olomana. Her priority each weekend is to make sure that each person that attends HCO is served well and gets connected right away. Her ability to effectively move and shake volunteer staff in order to produce a smooth, seamless service, quickly earned her the respect of all who serve at the church. Although she officially joined the staff of HCO in 2006, Lani has been a faithful volunteer since 1999 and has been involved in almost every area of service. Her heart to serve others is evident in her unwaivering commitment to her daily work.
